Lyttelton Port, 2002

In June 2002 Southern Cross Engineering raised, for Lyttelton Port Company, two Paceco Container Cranes by 6m each, using 4 purpose built lift frames (one at each crane leg). The raised weight = 480 tonnes, using hydraulic jacks and high tensile dwyidag bar. All electrical works and counterweight included.

Newlands Overbridge, Wellington, 1997

Following are photos taken during construction of the Newlands Overbridge, Wellington, in 1997. It involved 4-bridge girders in grade 350 L15 steel manufactured in 3 sections. Total length 66m each, weight 240 tonnes. (Click on any image to view a larger version.)






Skellerup Base Isolation, Long Beach, 1998

2000T Seismic Bearing Bench Press for Skellerup Base Isolation. Fabricated weight 118T, shipped to Long Beach, USA. Fitted with eight off 500 x 500 stroke hydraulic cylinders for vertical load, plus one off 500 x 1800 stroke cylinder for horizontal load. Bearing loading system included also (not shown in photos). Nelson Pine Industries, 2001

Two Heavy-duty 10T high speen log yard cranes (one pictured). Fully variable speed on all travels and hoisting. Heavy duty open LV winch, air conditioned operators cabin and Mack log grapple. Konecranes components and electrical equipment.
